Tyrannosaurus RexMember6270 XPMar-24-2014 4:30 PMSorry for the recent reign of Jurassic Park 3 hate, but I found a video that perfectly describes why the movie sucks. No offense to those who liked the movie.
I'm sorry, but best 20+ minutes I'll ever get out of Jurassic Park 3. They pussifiied the Tyrannosaurus. Too funny. Its only weakness is trees.

CompsognathusMember0 XPMar-24-2014 5:40 PMYes, JP3 wasn't the best of the JP Trilogy, However, It was made, where we could've just ended up with Two movies instead of three with an upcoming fourth.
I'll admit, I really disliked it... It didn't have much of an underlaying plot, It didn't fit into the storyline quite right. However, It showed us more of Sorna, What ingen was hiding... It gave us more insight to the JP Universe...
There must always be a fall guy, the lesser man, Unfortunately That had to Be JP3...
If you follow what was supplied to the audience after filming about why they did everything, It makes more sense. The film comes together. They did bring Rex's ability to withstand shit down, But that was bound to happen.
The reason people don't like it is, Simply because they don't like change, The Spino represented change...
Still JP3 is my least favourite.

 Tyrannosaurus RexMember6270 XPMar-24-2014 5:48 PM
Tyrannosaurus RexMember6270 XPMar-24-2014 5:48 PMI guess. The movie still sucked, and I thought the video was funny.

CompsognathusMember0 XPMar-24-2014 5:49 PMAt first, I used to dislike JP 3 simply for the fight scene. However, after I grew up a little and my knowledge of dinosaurs expanded, I have changed my opinion. It's not bad because of the fight scene. It's bad because of the fight scene and 80 percent of the rest of the movie. Now, I use the term bad loosely here. It was a decent movie, but not a Jurassic Park good by any means.
 AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 5:55 PM
AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 5:55 PMI just thought that the movie was just overall decent.
IT'S TIME TO DU-DU-DU-DU-DUEL!!!
 Tyrannosaurus RexMember6270 XPMar-24-2014 5:58 PM
Tyrannosaurus RexMember6270 XPMar-24-2014 5:58 PMDid you watch the whole video? The jokes about the Spino's only weakness being trees? JP 3 being decent but not Jurassic Park good out of the way, I thought the video was hilarious. Oh the things I do when I should be studying.

CompsognathusMember0 XPMar-24-2014 6:00 PMI agree Raptor. A decent movie. But a "bad" Jurassic Park, if that makes sense.
 AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 6:02 PM
AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 6:02 PMIt makes sense, Rex Fan. I didn't wacth the whole video because I saw the type of guy he was, and I dodn't reeally like those type of people when it comes to comedy videos.
IT'S TIME TO DU-DU-DU-DU-DUEL!!!
 Tyrannosaurus RexMember6270 XPMar-24-2014 6:02 PM
Tyrannosaurus RexMember6270 XPMar-24-2014 6:02 PMDecent as a movie, bad as a Jurassic Park. JP 3 is to us what Godzilla 1998 is to the Gojiranuts. Honestly, it wasn't great by movie standards, but look at all the jokes that it's the butt of.

 CompsognathusMember0 XPMar-24-2014 6:05 PM
CompsognathusMember0 XPMar-24-2014 6:05 PMI'd give JP a 5/5, TLW: JP a 4/5 or a 4.5/5, and JP 3 a 3/5. That's just me though.
 Tyrannosaurus RexMember6270 XPMar-24-2014 6:06 PM
Tyrannosaurus RexMember6270 XPMar-24-2014 6:06 PMI'd give JP a 5, TLW a 4.5, and JP3 a 2.5.

 AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 6:07 PM
AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 6:07 PMWell, I think all of the movies tried to make a different approach. The first one was made for enjoyment for all ages of audiences, the kids love it for the dinos, and young adults like it for the theme and the plot. THe Lost World surprised me when they made a little bit darker than the first film, and it showed us of how everything was still NOT over. Jurassic Park 3 just tried to scare you, and I think that's just it.
IT'S TIME TO DU-DU-DU-DU-DUEL!!!
 AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 6:08 PM
AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 6:08 PMJP= 10/10
TLW= 10/10
(I actally can't decide which one I like more.)
JP3= 6/10
IT'S TIME TO DU-DU-DU-DU-DUEL!!!
 Tyrannosaurus RexMember6270 XPMar-24-2014 6:09 PM
Tyrannosaurus RexMember6270 XPMar-24-2014 6:09 PMGood point 401. That and carry out Horner's "Rex is a scavenger" theory. It's fine that you didn't watch the whole video, but I thought it was the best thing about JP3 yet, and his expressions made it so much better. Did you at least get to the point with the sub titles with the Raptors? "Oh no! Our only weakness! Smoke!"

 CompsognathusMember0 XPMar-24-2014 6:10 PM
CompsognathusMember0 XPMar-24-2014 6:10 PMYes, But Really? Planes jsut don't crash like that... Unless it got bone stuck in the engine, However, It was only the right engine, Most two engine planes are designed in emergancy situations, to be able to use just one engine, Not as fast, but it should still work.
It was a decent movie, It had the JP Movie feeling to it, But it didn't quite fit.
Life cannot be contained, it breaks walls, crashes through barriers sometimes painfully, but uh... Life uh, finds a way
 CompsognathusMember0 XPMar-24-2014 6:11 PM
CompsognathusMember0 XPMar-24-2014 6:11 PMI can agree with what you said Raptor. They tried to make JP 3 into a monster movie. I think the problem is Jurassic Park isn't a monster movie. It's an action packed, thrill ride. Godzilla or Pacific Rim could be called monster movies(depends on your point of view). But Jurassic Park is not.
 AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 6:12 PM
AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 6:12 PMYah, I think Rex was half hunter and half scavenger, I think it might of used it's strenght to steal food from othercarnivores. No, unfortuantely, I did not get that far, but that is true, it was just smoke, nothing special in it, really...
IT'S TIME TO DU-DU-DU-DU-DUEL!!!
 AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 6:15 PM
AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 6:15 PMYah, I think JP 3 tried to make all the dinosaurs seem like super villain killers. It didn't really have a theme to make you reflect on after you watch the movie. If you've read the book versions of Jurassic Park and the Lost World, they both had multiple themes to make you think about how far man can go scientifically and what we should NOT do. JP 3 just tried to scare you and made our favorite DInosaurs into some type of legendary monsters, like Big foot or something.
IT'S TIME TO DU-DU-DU-DU-DUEL!!!
 CompsognathusMember0 XPMar-24-2014 6:20 PM
CompsognathusMember0 XPMar-24-2014 6:20 PMI agree perfectly.
 AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 6:25 PM
AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 6:25 PMI think I like the Lost World more when it comes to the theme.
IT'S TIME TO DU-DU-DU-DU-DUEL!!!
 Tyrannosaurus RexMember6270 XPMar-24-2014 6:32 PM
Tyrannosaurus RexMember6270 XPMar-24-2014 6:32 PMAll around, my favourite was the original. As for the theme, I liked the dark approach taken by TLW better. All around, the original was my favourite though.

 AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 6:34 PM
AllosaurusMember3687 XPMar-24-2014 6:34 PMYah, but it still bothers me how much they changed the characters from the book of The Lost World to the movie, but hey, you have to judge a movie by a movie, not by it's book.
IT'S TIME TO DU-DU-DU-DU-DUEL!!!

CompsognathusMember0 XPMar-24-2014 7:00 PMcolorful ninja dinosaurs
Invincible Overly Attached Spinosaurus
ninja kids (Billy and Eric)
and the great dino shaman dr. Grant (remember the part where he has a vision about how the raptor is going to look like and the part where he pick up some dino dungs and smells it before he realize that they're inside a bird cage)
yep, JP3 is cool, but it made me laugh a lot, although not as much as when I watched carnosaur 2 and 3
Tyrannosaurus RexMember5639 XPMar-26-2014 8:46 AMI honestly have difficulty sitting down to watch JP3. I cringe at some of the silly dialogue and the poor light in which they cast some of the characters - especially Dr. Grant. He was such a believable character in the first film, but he seemed...downplayed in JP3. The whole thing with the hat (harkening to Indiana Jones) also made me a tad queasy. William H. Macey is still a decent-looking fellow, though; loved him in Sahara! Well, not as much as Mathew's character in the film, but you know what I'm driving at.

CompsognathusMember0 XPMar-30-2014 8:43 AMMy reaction after seeing and thinking about this movie:

Speaking of which, anyone noticed at the end of this movie when Alan Grant said what the Pteranodons were looking for a place to make a nest? This part is very stupid, because they had made a nest in the aviary and abandoned their cubs. It's hard for me to see this movie again.
Billy Brennan - Like computers do not like? Alan Grant - I like the abacus, Billy.
