The V. Rexes that Kong fought were pretty much large T. Rexes. Kong didn't have a problem bringing one down on his own since the V. Rex lacked long arms. The Indominus Rex has longers arms with sharp claws that can do serious lacerations on Kong's skin. Also count the fact the Indominus still has powerful jaws as well as being intelligent and having the ability to camouflage.
