This is EDB Part.4,EDB stands for Epic Dinosaur Battles,Part.4 means that this is the fourth battle, this time i double posted EDB Part.3 and 4.

HUGE THANKS TO GMKGOJI FOR THE POSTER!

The information about Tarbosaurus:

  • Weighed as much as an African Elephant
  • Was as long as a train car
  • Its name meant “terrifying or alarming dinosaur”
  • Tarbosaurus had smaller arms than T- Rex
  • Had more than 60 knife shaped teeth
  • Tarbosaurus may have hunted in packs

About Tarbosaurus

Tarbosaurus is a dinosaur that lived in parts of Asia around 65-70 million years ago—during the Late Cretaceous Period. This terrifying dinosaur was first discovered in 1946 during a joint Soviet- Mongolian expedition in the Nemegt Formation of Mongolia. It was then named Tarbosaurus, a name which means “terrifying lizard.” It is considered by many paleontologists to be the Asian version of the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

When this huge dinosaur was alive, it measured approximately 40 feet long and weighed around 5 tons. This dinosaur was very similar to the T Rex. Both had giant legs, small arms and huge jaws that had rows of sharp, pointy teeth. The T Rex is a little bigger than Tarbosaurus, but other than that they were pretty similar creatures. T Rex was the apex predator in North America, and Tarbosaurus was the apex predator in Asia. Tarbosaurus was the second largest of the Tyrannosaurids. T Rex was one of the largest of this dinosaur species.

Because of the close similarities between the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Tarbosaurus, there are a few paleontologists who are speculating that these two dinosaurs were actually one and the same. That perhaps some of them had crossed from Asia to North America. That one might have been evolving into something else. This would most likely mean that Tarbosaurus had crossed a land bridge—most likely the Siberian land bridge—between Asia and North America and eventually evolved into the T Rex, since this dinosaur is much older than Rex was. Of course, this is currently just speculation but it is something to think about.

The information about Megalosaurus:

  • First discovered in 17th century
  • Over 3 car links long
  • Weighed as much as a Black Rhinoceros
  • Could run over 30 miles per hour
  • One of the smartest dinosaurs

About Megalosaurus

Megalosaurus is a dinosaur which walked the Earth about 166 million years ago, during the Jurassic Period. This dinosaur was not only one of the earliest discovered dinosaurs, it is also one of the first dinosaurs to be described in scientific literature. This dinosaur was first discovered in 1676 at a stone quarry in England. While this original bone is now lost, it was described in the Natural History of Oxfordshire. However, it was misidentified as a thigh bone of a Roman war elephant by Robert Plot.

Later, a more intact fossil of this dinosaur was discovered in 1819 by William Buckland. Five years later, he named it Megalosaurus; a name which means “great lizard.” In 1827, it was finally assigned its scientific name: Megalosaurus bucklandii.

When this dinosaur was alive it was quite a formidable beast. It was approximately 30 feet long, 10 feet tall at the hips and weighed approximately a ton. It was an aggressive hunter that relied on its natural speed and powerful jaws to take down its prey. Scientists believe this dinosaur combed coastal regions to hunt plesiosaurs or to scavenge fish that have washed upon the shore. This scenario was put forward because many of this dinosaur’s fossil remains have been found with marine deposits.

Likely, this dinosaur not only hunted Plesiosaurs or washed up fish, but probably used several hunting strategies. It was one of the smartest of the dinosaurs of the time and probably adapted its hunting style according to the prey that was available.

The battle begins!

A Tarbosaurus was basically walking next to a river, but suddenly,he heard a loud roar coming from the left side of the river,it was the Megalosaurus which hunted a bunch of herbivores, after he heard the roar,he quickly ran to where the roar came from, and he found Mega,Mega roared at Tarbo as a warning to not come any closer, but Tarbo quickly bit him in the leg, making Mega fall down, and then Tarbo dragged Mega by biting his tail and dragging him to the waterfall, but Mega but his face, making Tarbo retreat, but then Tarbo pushed Mega in the river which was the river that gets to the waterfall, quickly Mega bit Tarbo in the tail, and dragged him into the river, and they got to the waterfall and they both fell into the water, but only Tarbo got out,Mega was still in the water, then Mega drowned, then Tarbo got to his nest as fast as he could because he was weakened and if any Dino challenged him to a battle at that moment,he would have a disadvantage.

Winner:Tarbosaurus

Reason:He had a really strong bite force,he was like the T-Rex.but not as good as the Rex though.

Um... I think the Tarbo estimate is a tad to big, but just my opinion. Nice fight

If people weren't lazy, we wouldn't try to be efficient. If we weren't efficient, we'd never get anything done.
