Ah, yes, the old “Spinosaurus vs. T-rex” conflict. Fueled from 90 SECONDS OF FOOTAGE, this flame has been burning for over fifteen years. When will it end? Who is the clear victor? Now before you go spam the replies with “ThE T-ReX wILl WiN nO MaTtEr wHaT BeCaUsE blah blah blah...” or vice versa, I just want to remind you that is conflict is totally unrealistic and people have been cyber bullying each other over 90 seconds of footage. The Spinosaurus and the T-rex are both magnificent animals and they are evolved to their own surroundings in their life and people fighting over who would win is complete and utter bull****. THEY LIVED MILLIONS OF YEARS APART FOR GOD’S SAKE! Anyways, you can probably tell that I am a Spino fan and this is what I think would happen if the Spinosaurus and the T-rex did not fight in JP3, both in the JP universe and in real life.
If the Spinosaurus did not fight the T-rex in JP3, but instead fought another theropod, the outcome would still be the same... in the real world and in the JP world. Spino would have won (now this is just another theropod taking the place of T-rex in the story, like a sub-adult Carchardontosaurus, since that T-rex was also sub-adult) and Amanda Kirby would still be eyesore of the film, but the JP and real universe would have still panned out the way we now know it in 2021. We all know the fight started when the gang found a sub-adult T-rex and accidentally led it to Spino, but if the T-rex was not there, they would probably have stumbled upon the same rotting carcass left by another carnivore and Spino would have smelled it and came over to them. They would have run away leaving the Spinosaurus to eat the carcass. That carcass would have fed the Spinosaurus for at least a few days, and by the time it finished it, the gang would have left the island.
But if the Spinosaurus was not hunting the gang then how did the river scene happen? Or the cage scene? My only explanation for that is another carnivore. In the river scene I think it was Sarcosuchus or Deinosuchus, but neither of them were tall enough to get to the crane. Feel free to give ideas in the comments section.
In the original JP3, the Spinosaurus probably died from its burns at the river, but since it was not there, I think Ingen took it to Jurassic World on Isla Nublar.
Anyways, I think that’s where I’m going to end it. Hopefully, you enjoyed this article, stay happy, stay healthy, and I’ll be seeing you... in the next one.
Hmmm, I want to say the T. rex should have won, sub-adult included, because of bite force but with recent relavations that the spinosaurus was a proto-indominus rex/weaponized dinosaur I think any large theropod would have been toast and this is coming from a T. rex fan. But in real-life: Land is where the Tyrannosaurus has the high ground, water is the spinosaurus's domain.
Yeah I agree that the T. rex would have won like 9.9 times out of ten but keep in mind that the flaws of that battle would still be there if it was another theropod. Hence, Spino would have won and people would get mad at it for winning. But, since those other theropods are not really well known compared to T. rex, maybe people would have aligned with Spino.
I don't know, those other Theropods do have their fans. Beyond the Tyrannosaurus, the allosaurid Saurophaganax is my second favorite large theropod, also allosauruses in general
Yeah that is another, probably more likely possibility. Also, what would happen if the some of the gene sequence gaps were replaced with human DNA? I’m writing an alternate JP universe and I need some insight. Also, can an animal switch between teeth? Like pull some teeth inside the gums push another kind of teeth out. I’m, curious if I could make that work or is it impossible?
None that I have ever witnessed nor read, but also why Humans? Outside of the hybrids, I think the JP/JW Raptors have already have achieved a great degree of sapience on par with Great Apes (including Humans).
Now combining any dinosaur with crow DNA would be awesome especially with Raptors, you'll both get feathered dinosaurs and hyper-intelligent dinosaurs.
it was stated that the t rex was fully grown so ur sub adult thing isnt working ya know.
Yeah I think the subadult fan theory was made by fans to try and justify why the Spinosaurus unrealistic won.
Side Note: Joe Johnson, the director of Jurassic Park III, said in the behind-the-scenes interview that the Spinosaurus would drive the Tyrannosaurs to extinction.
But even if it was fully adult, how does that affect my theory? Also Xenotaris, that would be a good idea. I would also include Tarbosaurus because of its jaw-locking mechanism, although I do not know how effective it was.
Its doesn't effect your theory, InGen's Spinosaurus was fully terrestrial and enhanced compared to his extinct counterpart, essentially Dr. Wu created a Super-Spinosaurus.
Ah yes the Tarbosaurus, sadly it doesn't get much attention outside of Asia due to it being an Asian Tyrannosaurus.
