The children’s book series, Dinotopia by James Gurney, has recently come back into my mind. While the stories of the books aren’t as good quality as they seemed when I was younger, the art has always been good.
Note on accuracy: The Series started in the early 90’s and gets more accurate so don’t freak out about that.
I was just wondering for I was alone in having these books or if anyone else had them.

My only complaint is that the series never included the spinosaurus, my favorite dinosaur.

I like plows because they plow things.
Dinotopia, this brings me back to my childhood, I even still have the dinotopia mug. Picture is fading and the lip has since chipped.
I even saw the crappy disney mini-series, I would love to own a Dinotopia book
theres a disney show?

Yes, well technically ABC, back in the early 2000's
Huh, I didn't even know it had sequel series until now
wasn't there a hallmark series (i saw it on Billiam's channel)
This is the one, it was a joint Disney and Hallmark production that aired on ABC
I just found out they made a cartoon movie, the box art looks eerily similar to The Land Before Time
Damn, wasn't expecting the pictures to be this big!
I need to get back into reading the books, I didn't even know they had novels too this series nor video games. I only read the first BOOK!
I dont think ill be watching that now

i would, just to see what it's like
I remember in the live-action series they made the mosasaurus basically crocodiles with their more crocodilian appearance and having legs instead of flippers. They made the dimorphodon into a bird rather than a pterosaur and even called the pterosaurs, birds! Did anyone at Disney or Hallmark ever cared to pick up and skim through a dinosaur book or was that too much work?
too much work. Disney has several other studios it needs to buy, and Frachises to start, destroy, or confuse.

I am not looking forward to a Disney Era ALIEN nor PREDATOR, I sure hope Disney doesn't have Jurassic Park in their sights! Marvel's ALIEN comics is just sad, I wish Dark Horse could reclaim the ALIEN comics property.
Back to Dinotopia, yeah the Disney adaptation as far as the mini-series was concern was horrible. I have never seen the sequel Tv series, I guess I dodge a bullet there.
