UPDATE

According to director Colin Trevorrow, the plot for Jurassic World will take place 22 years after the events of the first Jurassic Park! Check out Trevorrow's tweet below, which confirmed this:

Part of the plot involves the discovery of previously unidentified lizard-like animals showing up on mainland Costa Rica and conflicting with the locals (killing them?). To find out what the heck is going on, a team of experts chart an expedition to one of the off-shore islands. They find out the dinosaurs are thriving and breeding at an uncontrollable rate, so much so that it poses a threat to the nearby continent. They must find a way to curb the spread of the dinos or face an ecological disaster. I think they should have this script in Jurassic Park 4, sounds more cool! They should have this new 2014 Jeep Cherokee. They haven't had a dino to wreak a car in the third, they should bring back a Jeep! Tyrannosaurus RexMember6270 XP2013-03-27 20:23:00I have to agree with Jhawkins1987 on the T.Rex and Giga battle. While Giga had the obvious size advantage, T.Rex had the bite force advantage. Giga's teeth where designed to cut and slice, while T.Rex's teeth were designed to crush bone. Giga was also believed to hunt in packs, which helped it bring down dinosaurs much larger than itself, while T.Rex may have hunted in pairs and family groups. One on one, T.Rex and Giga may be evenly matched, but if T.Rex bit Giga's neck, it would be over. Maybe it would be more realistic if T.Rex was intimidated by Giga's size, but stalks Giga and realizes it not as strong as it appears and goes in for a rematch/challenge, and wins. I like Giga, Charchar, Spino, and all the other large predators, but T.Rex is my favourite.

Being a fan of the Rex myself i have changed my idea of the outcomes of the battle. I still do believe that in a one-on-one fight, the gigantosaurus would just have it over the Rex. Even though Rex may have had a larger bite force, biting the throat or head of the Giga would prove a tough challenge, and if the Rex bit straight into the mid-section of the giga, he would get a mouthful of large hooklike claws. Also, the Gigantosaurus was lighter on its feet, and would have a spped advantage over Rex. However, having the rex killed and just leaving it at that would cause another uproar. So this is what i believe should be the case... The Rex and Giga battle under the same circumstances as I had listed in my earlier post. The Giga wins (but only just). One of the characters states "He's not the King anymore..." However, T-Rex had saliva full of poisonus bacteria, similar to that of a Komodo Dragon... Eventually, The Gigantosaurus that killed the rex, Max, and has been chasing the crew through the jungle, grows weak and succumbs to the injuries left by the Rex. Grant states that the poisonus bacteria left by the Rex had killed the Giga, and Malcom states "And Rex is still king of the Jungle" (whilst giving a smartass grin to the character that stated otherwise earlier)

And also the whole idea of rex still kinda comin out on top due to infectious bite ... Clever idea! Well the giga was longer yh but prob wouldnt say bigger as such hight wise there prob isnt anything in it at all. But suppose toss of a coin !

T.Rex may have been slightly smaller in terms of physical size, but don't forget, T.Rex was around later than the rest, so it was more advanced (bone density, eyesight, intelligence, etc.), so it makes up for it's lack of size (which is hard for a 7 ton predator to make up for), and it was more heavily built. T.Rex had binocular vision, while probably most of the other large predators had it's eyes on the side of their heads. Maybe Giga and T.Rex could fight, T.Rex would go for Giga's neck, miss and bite one of it's arms, then Giga will slash T.Rex's eye with it's free arm, T.Rex will pull back and pull off Giga's arm, and Giga will run off in pain, while T.Rex storms off angry about it's eye (which goes blind), and at the end, they fight each other again, with T.Rex winning because what's left of Giga's arm got infected from T.Rex's bite and weakened it enough to give T.Rex the win (intense battle, then the infection takes effect and Giga gets dizzy, tired, and just stumbles around aimlessly while T.Rex looks at it confused, then finishes it). Sorry if I got the infection symptoms and speed wrong, I have never been infected, and this is Jurassic Park, where dinosaurs where brought to life from blood samples in amber, not a documentary of large predators.

CompsognathusMember0 XP2013-03-28 22:21:00I have been listening to all these and I've thought of one that is pretty insane. Movie starts, the funeral of John Hammond is going on, the year is 2013 and its a down pour. Everyone has there own families and the islands are peaceful. Some rival of Hammond though has created raptors and more dinosaurs to create a safari of sorts in Montana to make lots of money. Of course everything goes wrong the raptors escape and wreak havoc in the wilderness the old gang goes to Montana to stop the madness and send the raptors to Isla Nublar. They discover the area holding mostly herbivores except for a T-Rex and some dilophosaurus. All hell breaks loose trying to capture them and send them all away as they escape from their pens. The navy cooperates by sending in soldiers and cargo planes and boats. Add in chases, deaths, and of course clashes of raptors versus others. With the Dinosaurs back home the credits end with two raptors and a nest in the mountains. Please give me feedback and criticism.

Tyrannosaurus RexMember6270 XP2013-03-28 22:51:00To Jetstetter Good ideas. Could expand a bit more on your ideas. You included the raptors, you mentioned T.Rex and Dilo, but that's about it. What do they do in the movie? Some rival (Biosyn?) , obviously didn't learn from Ingen and did the worst thing possible (build the park on the mainland, Ingen at least had chaos control with the islands). How do the dinosaurs break out their pens (Power failure, missing part of fence, environmentalist)? The raptor nest was a really good idea setting up the next sequel.

The pens are opened by a curious yet stupid civilian wandering the woods, he presses a button on an open computer shutting off the security systems. There will be rarely any city shots for the vast wilderness will be the battlefield for it all.

The whole environmentalist bit was just for a little comedy anyway. But iv just thought in its defence i think in the film the embros could stay cool for 48hrs or summin?? Forgive me if im wrong :s so now thinkin about it kinda would be dead n un useable . Plus i think that that jurassic park walk through game has continued the story on the DNA can :s but i feel for ya :) i no the frustration!

I forget the cop pushing the button in JP2, but I haven't seen the movies in a while (if I get them on DVD/Blu-ray, I will probably watch them more often, but probably when I'm sick or home alone)

A prequel of the series would be just as cool as adding new dinosaurs and having cool dino battles.

John Hammond is dead, and his children inherited his business. Mean while Dr. grant is at Louisiana University as a paleontologist, when interrupted by a former friend "Dr. Ian Malcolm.'' They're both disbelief at a picture they see and read on the newspaper about "Ingen" team recover Dino DNA but need other files for further analysis to complete and recreate live dinosaurs for real life testing. Dr. Grant and Malcolm set a team with old friends from the past to reunite and retrieve missing data that "Ingen" is after. But soon Dr. Grant and his team go on an adventure with T-Rex, Velociraptor, Dilophosaurus and other Unknown dinosaurs. After retrieving the missing files, they're are destroyed by Dr. Grant. A record of an earthquake in Costa Rica hits and shifts the earth axis, were it causes most of the population including dinosaurs to be extinct. The only remains were baby Dino eggs hatching near a tree trunk.

Reasons being is that his knowledge from a young age , in the books, and in the film would be significant for a path of a story. For example him becoming a student paeleontologist under grants wing like billy did in JP3! It would make sense based on Tims character, n could be good to have him as maybe a lead role or even one of . I dont think ariana (lex) would reprise her role due to her being a professional artist nower days. But u never know, she did state in an interview that she hasnt seen a script so couldnt tell us. As for special effects, i have a feeling the new film wont use many if ANY of stan winstons genius machines ( RIP stan ,legend) But this may give the designers more freedom like king kong where the battle scene with kong n the 3 rexes was absolute quality, and genius! As long as the green screen is better cos im done with naff background effects . !!! Would u guys agree, with the latter if anything ?

Hammonds last wishes were for his remains to be put on the island. So they all take get on a ship and set out for the island. While on the way there Hammonds grand son is watching a video of his grand father talking about another island or a secret facility on one of the original islands. (we only get a glimpse of the video but dont know the full detail yet.) Then when they finally reach the island and are getting ready for Hammonds funeral service they are attacked by some large marine dinosaur. Everyone that survived the attack flees to the island. Everyones panicking once the reach the shore. But then start to head toward the visitors center from the original film. Once there they start searching for supplies. Then while everyones out gathering what they can Hammonds grandson confronts Grant saying i know how to get us off the island. And tells him about the secret facility that his hammond told him about. They set off to the facility in one of the original Ford Explorers. (But on the way the are being pursued by some strange looking dinos. Once they reach the facility they find a test lab. Were they find out they were genetically combining the dino genes reulting in the Chaos Theory) or (they get to the facility and find plans for an underwater park. There is a sub marine inside the facility they get in and take the sub through an underground tunnel that leads them to out of the island. Right before the credits they see these giant cages with some of the marine dinos in them but one is broke open.

Scare the shit out of ppl haha Plus it can by like them dinos on JP:the game That hunt them ay night ! Would make sense. Underwater dinos r too big in my opinion as cool as they r , n apart from having an underwater facinity ( which would disclude all land dinos btw the whole film probably) it would then need to be big enough for a whale sized animal to break in to then cause havock n make a film out of it. Summin that big ud stay out the water completely , ud never go on a boat if it would eat that aswell n sink it! I think it COULD work if it was as u said like a discovery at the end of a film and the cast a mirracuously lucky to have a sub marine piolot on board lol it could be before it finished so it CONTINUES ... Like a cliff hanger To the next film, so the trilogy is in 3 parts as apposed to the characters landin nearly dying then rescued like the previous 3. If tht happens DAKOTA u could be on to a winner. If not making and underwater monster the main dude i think would be pants

CompsognathusMember0 XP2013-04-05 00:55:00If you remember in the first one the fat man that stole the dino dna samples was killed and the barbasol can that had them was washed down and covered by mud. since Ingen is broke a rival company could be doing some sort of work on isla nublar and find those samples and there is a number of plots that could come from that.

I loved the attention to detail that i have NEVER noticed untill now about the T Rex eye dilating when lex shon the flash light in its eye. Had to look at the clip again to see it to believe it lol Was a great touch, very clever .
